Marco Manna's research interests include Information Extraction, Distributed XML Validation, Attribute Grammars, Data Integration, Planning, and Ontology-based Data Access. In these areas, he has published around 25 refereed articles in major journals, collections and conference proceedings, such as JCSS, TPLP, FI, TLDKS, LNCS, LNAI, LNBIP, PODS, KR, MFCS, ICLP, JELIA, LPNMR, ESWC, CBMS. In January 2013, by counting all citing articles appearing in Scopus or Web of Science, he has an h-index of 6 and a contemporary h-index of 8. In 2008, he was Academic Visitor at the Computing Laboratory of the Oxford University to work on Distributed XML Validation. In 2012, he was Research Assistant at the Department of Computer Science of University of Oxford to work on Information Extraction and Ontology-based Data Access. Currently, he is an external collaborator on the DIADEM project funded through an "Advanced Investigator Grant" of the European Research Council, and involving the Department of Computer Science (Oxford University) and the DBAI Group (TU Wien).
