Projects

  • Principal Investigator of the PRIN project DISTORT - Dynamic Disinformation Networks: Where is the Truth?, duration:24 months. The aim of the DISTORT project aims at delivering logic-based frameworks, equipped with explainable AI tools, for the early identification of fake news stories. In particular, the main objective is to help social media users in giving a better sense to inconsistencies about news circulating on social media, thus helping in solving the problem of disinformation diffusion.
  • Coordinator for the University of Calabria research unit of the PRIN project HypeKG - Hybrid Prediction and Explanation with Knowledge Graphs. CUP: H53D2300370 0006, duration:24 months. The aim of the HypeKG project is the deliver of hybrid semantic-based explainable AI methods grounded on KGs. It builds upon: 1) a semantic-driven learning framework; 2) an explanation component. Leveraging the semantic of nodes/edges of a KG and underlying ontological knowledge (e.g., a schema) allows incorporating fine-grained semantic information into state-of-the-art numeric AI models designed to learn from graphs.
  • Coordinator for the University of Calabria research unit of the POR project Explora Process. Started on 1st September 2017, duration:24 months. The objective of the project was the definition and implementation of a platform able to combine the traditional techniques of Process Analytics, Process Discovery, Process Mining, with the sophisticated algorithms of the Explora Text suite for semantic analysis, in order to obtain a “Semantic Process Analytics” platform. The "Explora Process" platform provides an integrated environment of process mining algorithms to analyze logs whose events can be classified with respect to a reference ontology, both manually or using, as a semi-automatic support, existing document classification tools.

PLACE DU CARROUSEL (Jacques Prévert)

Place du Carrousel
al tramonto di un bel giorno d'estate
il sangue di un cavallo
ferito e senza redini
scorreva sul lastrico

E il cavallo era la'
ritto immobile
su tre piedi
E l'altro piede ferito
ferito e lacerato
ciondolava.

Proprio a fianco
ritto immobile
vi era anche il cocchiere
e la carrozza anch'essa immobile
inutile, come un orologio rotto.
E il cavallo taceva
il cavallo non si lagnava
il cavallo non nitriva
egli era la'
aspettava
ed era cosi' bello, cosi' triste, cosi' semplice
e cosi' ragionevole
che non era possibile trattenere le lacrime

Oh
giardini perduti
fontane dimenticate
praterie soleggiate
oh dolore
splendore e mistero dell'avversita'
sangue e bagliori
bellezza percossa
Fraternita'

Place du Carrousel
towards the end of a beautiful summer day
the blood of a horse
injured and unharnessed
streamed
onto the pavement.

And the horse was there
standing
motionless
on three feet.
And the other wounded foot
wounded and torn
hung.

Right next to it
standing
motionless
there was also the coachman
and the carriage that was also motionless
useless as a broken clock.
And the horse was silent
the horse didn’t complain
the horse didn’t whinny
it was there
it waited
and it was so noble so sad so simple
and so reasonable
that it wasn’t possible to hold back tears.

Oh
lost gardens
forgotten fountains
sunlit meadows
oh suffering
splendor and mystery of adversity
blood and sparks
beaten-up beauty
Brotherhood.
