La seduta di Laurea

I laureandi triennali illustrano il proprio lavoro di fronte alla commissione nei pressi del proprio poster.

I laureandi magistrali vengono introdotti dal proprio relatore e presentano il proprio lavoro in due fasi. In una prima fase tengono una breve presentazione (8 minuti) e nella seconda fase illustrano il proprio lavoro di fronte alla commissione nei pressi del proprio poster.

Durante la presentazione, il candidato può dover rispondere brevemente ad una o più domande circa il suo lavoro di tesi.

In fase di proclamazione i candidati si dispongono in fila di fronte alla commissione. Il presidente proclama uno per uno i laureandi, i quali fanno un passo avanti nel momento in cui viene pronunciato il loro nome. Se sono disponibili le toghe, il candidato sposta il tocco (il pendaglio attaccato al cappello di laurea) da sinistra a destra, per indicare il suo "passaggio di status".

Il candidato dovrebbe presentarsi qualche minuto prima dell'orario ufficiale della seduta di laurea per caricare la propria presentazione sul PC dal quale verranno proiettate le presentazioni o per installare il proprio poster nell'area dedicata.

Graduation Ceremony

The Bachelor degree graduates illustrate their work in front of the commission, near their poster.

Master graduates are introduced by their own supervisor and present their work in two phases. In a first phase, they hold a brief presentation (8 minutes ca.) while in the second phase they illustrate their work in front of the commission, in front of their poster.

During the presentation, the candidate has to briefly answer to one or more questions regarding her/his thesis work.

At the proclamation stage, the candidates stand in front of the committee. The president proclaims one by one the graduates, who take a step forward when her/his name is pronounced. If robes are available, the candidate moves the "touch" (the pendulum attached to the graduation hat) from left to right to indicate the "status pass".

The candidate should be present a few minutes before the official time of the graduation session to eventually upload the presentation on the computer from which the presentations will be screened or to install/setup their poster in the dedicated area.
